Yes, that WAS thoughtful of him, wasn't it? Especially as the owner has only had the kite up once, and there wasn't enough wind for it!

When I went up through the Kyles on Monday afternoon (22nd) just about low tide. There was the strongest current that I have ever felt there about the point of Jim's pic. I was motoring at about 5.5 knots and only doing 2.5 over the ground.
The water was really boiling and I could not guess how many times I have been through.
I was using the ship channel as I was heading to Loch Ridden, yes Gordon Flap was all nicely secured.
When did the wreck or whatever appear in the middle near head of loch where it dries to?
