So my boat has a well installed end to end Garmin system.
I do know how to use it and of course do use all the stuff except radar which I never did the course on. ( my fault no excuse).
Is there a company out there who could spend a half a day with me.
Specific reason Is my kit is full of features and I know I could get more from it. It's not holding me back in boating but just want to get more value out off all this expensive stuff

It's a good question, one that I asked at the Garmin stand at LIBS. It appears Garmin themselves don't offer the direct courses for nav and radar equipment that Raymarine do.

You are correct as I just that same conversation in Düsseldorf. I am sure when I have a five min Google around I will find me someone who has the advanced knowledge that I am after, it should not prove to be too difficult.

I reckon it's worth doing a generic radar course as there's a few tricks and twists to using radar that may not be obvious at first and crawling through a foggy Solent or across the channel isn't the best place to find out about them. If you're med-based then that may not apply of course.

You are correct of course I was good in taking a range of courses in 2010 and 2011 and took some advanced Nav courses in 2016 but for whatever reason I never did the radar one. I am going to sort that out this Spring once and for all

Everything I've ever learned in (later) life I've learnt off YouTube. Even MBM has radar instructional videos.

I used to love Raymarine stuff as it was so easy to use but now I find the more recent raymarine equipment frustratingly complicated to use. I now much prefer Garmin because you don't need any instructions to use it. It's very easy just go and anchor somewhere and have a play with it all.

I am probably not doing myself justice as I am pretty good with all but the radar. I just know there are some really advanced options in there and it's just getting the last 20 percent out
