I was on the boat when the pics were taken...

Oystercatcher, locates oyster under carpet of weed,

But what surprised me, was noone told the Oystercatcher it's a crab!:D
 
Just like a David Attenborough segment, I was hoping the crab was going to get away...nature can be cruel..:)

You must have a good lense David, or a shoal draft :D

It was a bit of both, I normally use a canon 50D and 28-135mm IS lens, but on this occasion it was with a little old kodak, just grabbed the camera nearest as you don't get time to set up these situations, they just happen in front of you.
 
a brilliant series of pics epervier! very interesting indeed.

Always had a eye for the birds ;) and certainly a frustrated wildlife photographer myself, a couple of weekends ago we went up badnam Creek in the dingy and within 10 minutes I took these pictures, just shows the wildlife around.... always lots of lovely wildlife on or near the water.
