Not Exactly Motorboat Stuff...But

I was on the boat when the pics were taken...

Oystercatcher, locates oyster under carpet of weed,

Oyster trys to run away,

Oystercatcher trips up runaway oyster,

Jabs beak in between upper and lower shell and opens beak,

oyster open eat soft meat,

But what surprised me, was noone told the Oystercatcher it's a crab!

Just like a David Attenborough segment, I was hoping the crab was going to get away...nature can be cruel..

It was a bit of both, I normally use a canon 50D and 28-135mm IS lens, but on this occasion it was with a little old kodak, just grabbed the camera nearest as you don't get time to set up these situations, they just happen in front of you.

a brilliant series of pics epervier! very interesting indeed.

Always had a eye for the birds and certainly a frustrated wildlife photographer myself, a couple of weekends ago we went up badnam Creek in the dingy and within 10 minutes I took these pictures, just shows the wildlife around.... always lots of lovely wildlife on or near the water.
