Sorry gang for this post.
My son graduated from uni on Monday.
He got BSC with Hons.
He wore his gown and board to recieve his degree.
Me and his mum are so proud, we both had tears at the presentation.
Sorry for this thread, but i feel i need to tell the world.
So proud...:D:D:D
At moment he is applying for officer training for the Royal Navy.
If he gets in and passes, i think we will explode :):)
I feel i had to share our joy in these troubled times..
Many thanks..

Congratulations to you son.
Very please for you.
It is a great moment in you life.
Our son is on his way to a second degree and our 2nd daughter is in her 3rd year and doing well.
Number 1 daughter has done well in producing 2 grandchildren for us. :-)

Congratulations MB, great post, you should all be proud it's a great feeling.

Sadly by the time my two get to university the fees will be so high I will have to sell the house and the boat to pay for it, so I applaud your timing :)

Congratulations to your son, and to you - parents deserve plenty of credit for support of all kinds in the previous 20-odd years.

In my job, I go to graduation ceremonies every year. It is lovely to watch the students you met 3 or 4 years previously as nervous, worried, homesick kids transformed into real adults with proud parents applauding them. When roles were reversed and I watched my own kids graduate, I must admit that I was ridiculously proud, too!

Thanks all

Many thanks for your kind posts ECF gang.
Me and his mum are still all choaked up.
I thought it was good news, and might cheer us up in these bleak nights.
Once again many thanks chaps...:)

Congratulations.

Although I only stuck life as RN Officer for 6 years after I graduated I will freely admit that it was a great time and a great experience & training for the rest of life. Am now back in service but only as Reservist - now that is even more fun!

Dont know if this is a record but I was promoted to Lieutenant in June 1984 and in 2010 am still the same rank! A couple of my mates from the early days now have 4 gold rings on their arms!
