Not allowed to wash ropes in new washing machine - response help

New ropes sounds like a good idea, although sets a dangerous precedent.

It is not the drum that has failed, but an assertion that the ropes have worn te bearings making it really noisy.

Other ideas are really costly and I like what I have.

Has anyone any evidence that Samsung washing machines are immune to getting noisy if used rope washing?

I have washed lines inc shackles for 45yrs,over those yrs the lines have become much larger/heavier. 1 machine lasted 18yrs.I did change the bearings once

Have a wood burner so no need for a tumble drier as they are nearly as effective, but much cheaper.

Did not know Samy made irons. Their washing machines get good reviews!

v.pleased with our twelve month old Samsung washing machine - knocks big spots off the old Zanussi which managed eleven years but Samsung colour laser printer broke down in short order and took three weeks to fix. And that after a thirteen pound telephone call to a premium phone line.
Sorry to come over all Lounge-ish but my spleen is not yet fully vented on the matter.....

Using a shed seems more of a workaround!

Plus our shed has suffered from neglect. Not around enough to fix it (or volition), as usually out sailing or chasing children who are sailing.

Don't tell SWMBO but I've found that the dishwasher cleans ropes up a treat with no chance of tangling.
Soak them in a warm Oxy solution for 24 hours then flake the lines out on the racks in the dishwasher and put it through a wash cycle.
When I last used a washing machine I found the rope cores had come out of the sleeving in a couple of places ruining two warps.

Some good news for the OP from the Telegraph today - it won't be your fault when it goes pop. But I wouldn't want to be standing near it when it goes - broken jaw?
