Me:

Relaxed, fairly reserved, 35 male, married. Looking for as much experience as I can get, prepared to work on your (sail) boat for free, will take passages and pay for own food costs etc. Will smoke occosionally from leeward rail. Will enjoy a pint when work is finished. Wife is nurse working shifts, so with a bit of forethought, (two weeks) I can arrange plenty of time off. My commitments this summer are two weeks in June for a wedding in Columbia, and one week in July or August for Day skipper course (not booked yet). Comp crew done last summer in Gibraltar. Previous experience includes a lot of people shouting at me on a racing yacht, which was not much help at all. Good with my hands, enjoy maths and engineering. Built another floor on my house last year.

You:

Prepared to drop nuggets of wisdom. Will explain the why's and werefore's. Will give as much advance notice of when I am required and for what purpose i.e. if I'm scrubbing your undersides I'll bring my own paper suit and mask :D

I've got friends from Bangor to Liverpool so I can arrange to stay over in most places, so if you need a bit of muscle for jobs, or an extra crew member to help with anything, I'll be more than happy to oblige.

Thanks for reading.
Ben

The bloody cheek of some people coming on here offering to be helpful in return for a sail, you are doing it all wrong.
You should ring up last minute when there's a race on, drink all my beer and then disappear into god only knows where when jobs are to be done!
But on a serious note if you do want a run out on a non shouty race up ere in CUmbria give me a shout, no jobs to do either, or not yet anyway.

Many thanks tyce,

I might take you up on that when this weather eventually returns to form. I've also had a pm about possibly helping out on a yacht delivery or two, so a big thanks to the forum as it looks like I can get some good experience in this year.
