Take Five .
We met last week.

He and His Family have gone into the Motorhome scene.

For now!

I Think We will see Takey and the Family back on the Water one day.

Takey does look on ere.

I mean, Motorhomes are OK.

But out on the water?
Well.
That's what I said to Him /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I’m keen to come, if I can sort out the tides. It looks like I’ll have to lock out of Liverpool Friday afternoon and stick the hook out in Llandudno overnight, before coming into Conwy on the Saturday, I’ll even try the north channel, So it will depend on the weather.

Water taxi.

If for any reason the club launch is not operating on a day during the summer programme the harbour office will provide a backup service.

A Launch Drivers Plea,

Please, Please: Do Use a VHF Radio to call the Launch on Ch.37 (M) - Call sign: “Cruising Club Launch”
Do not stand on the jetty hoping that the launch will appear.
Tourists do this and the operator is not going to run the launch needlessly just to identify who is standing on the jetty.

Club Members: Forgot your handheld? – Use the radio in the Club.

Once on board, keep a listening watch on Channel 37 and try as far as possible to coordinate your trips to and fro with other users in your area.

There is nothing more frustrating, and I speak as launch driver, than getting back to the jetty from the far reaches of the river and receiving a call to collect someone in the area you have just come from, furthermore it is not economical.

LAUNCH CHARGES:
Payments will be made by cash or last years pre purchased tokens or by the purchase of a season ticket.
Payments will always be collected on the outward journey from the Jetty, please pay the driver before leaving the jetty. Trips between pontoons/other moorings will require a payment for a round trip.
Visiting crews will be given a lift ashore but will need make a payment to return to their boats.
Please remember No payment, No Season ticket, No ride..

NWCC MEMBERS - £1.50 per person per return trip
(Proof of membership will be requested on the launch)

VISITING BOAT CREWS will be charged at member’s rates.

NON - MEMBERS - £3.00 per person per return trip

The cost of a Season ticket is £75.00 per person available to NWCC members only, non transferable and valid from24th April to October 09.

Season Tickets can be purchased by sending a cheque, for the amount covering the number of tickets required, to the Club with the envelope marked “Ticket”, made payable to North Wales Cruising Club Ltd.

NOTE - The operator is entitled to lunch/rest breaks, so please plan your trips accordingly. If you forget, as I have done, spend lunch time in the bar!
Coffee and Tea is available as well as other drinks!
The timetable will also be displayed in the club house window and on the notice boards.

John
go down the Straits as HLB says and pick up a vacant mooring, come across Dutchmans Bank (The Swatchway) with the rest of us on Saturday, that is unless the weather is flat calm then LLDO would be a good stopover!

See you there

Tom

Well so far we seem to have 9 boats. But we need many more. Really want to make the HM struggle to find space. From experience, he never gets visiting boats. So lets blast him into offering really good facilities. There not bad now, but more folk need to go.

We can provide electricery on the pontoon, if folk are worried about it and an escort to the pontoon. So no worries.

Besides being a party for old handers, it's also an oppertunity for newbies.. Little ship will be around to show the way. Mucky Farter or ( Meekatharra) will be around either to show the way or be tug boat if necessary. Your call.

Eating in town sounds okay, but would we have to book if we're a large(ish) party?
There was talk of doing a barby on the pontoons but guess that's maybe a bit too weather dependant.
It'll be the first time we've left the dogs on the boat, dunno how we'll take em for a pee yet!
