Hi Steve. Will you be coming over to PD on the Sunday.

Cheers David.

If we can get our hands on it we could turn it into a rope ladder.:D

:D She has enough trouble with the steel ladders.

My role in this trip is as driver for the Christmas shopping brigade. Sunday will be the journey home via the shops in Bettws! Sorry about that, it would have been good to see you & Dave & catch up a bit! But lots of "stuff" going on at present, so I need to give the family some time & support. I'll keep in touch if there is another chance. How's Dave's project doing, SBC would be interested.

That a shame but the little Lady's come first.
Enjoy Saturday if you can get to the meet.
Dave has got the MG all cleaned out and the old engine removed and we will be looking at the renovation work soon. He has sold Foxtrot to Gweek Quay at Falmouth so She will be restored without expense getting in the way.

Thought I'd better mention that if any of you cannot make Saturday, most of us will be in the bar on Sunday lunchtime digging into the carvery. Tom and Babs brought round a bottle of vino earlier, to christen the new house but had to sit on the floor as there is no furniture. Later I invited Haydn for a drink in the bar, who unfortunately could only ask for a double whiskey.

It is blowing a hoolie here right now, but is warm and tomorrow should be a nice day. Pity the tides are wrong as I was planning to do RIB rides around the lighthouse.

Strange, even as write this laborously on my iPhone the wind has totally died.

Day Two. Wind has gone, but we were hit by a massive storm at 3 AM. Took Lord and Lady Kilter to the outer harbour and discovered I had nearly lost my small tender.

Kawasaki bought a (small) round of drinks this afternoon and has retired to lick his wounds.

I am now getting ready for the evening where we are all meeting up for a meal in the marina bar.

Have lots of pictures to post when I get back to my PC, including the spectacle of Haydn starting Mucky Farter. Unfortunately Debs has done her back and is confined to quarters.

So sorry Stu, but if you read above and the other thread Victoria Dock cancelled us and we all removed to Port Dinorwic, where have just had a great social day. In fact I have just climbed off Mucky Farter where we were presented with a bar that put Little Ship to shame (disclamer . This in no way invalidates any future offers of drinks aboard LS.)

Sorry Stu, but we did try to make sure every one had seen the change!

Mind you, the 6pm meal time was changed to 7 while I was "off air" and we arrived at Y Cei before everyone else - so we started without them. But then we had to get back to Caernarfon before the tide went out as the isn't a ladder on the berth we were using.

Great to meet so many "old pals" again plus a few new ones. Sorry we couldn't stay longer.

No-one has mentioned Kwaka's tie yet have they? You might have got away with it Richard.

Oh no, the tie is burned into my memory. Kawasaki turned up in his 'court suit' and a very natty tie. In fact it is identical to a tie of my own, which will be in the trash before the day is out.

An interesting fact from this weekend is that I was the only forumite who attended every drink, meal and mini party. I had no idea I was so desperate for friends. Thanks to Debs who put on a most impressive drinks spread I have seen on a boat and to Old Salt who managed to name every person, living and dead, who has ever lived in the North West.

Anyway, a full report will be posted tomorrow complete with pictures of Kwaka in a suit.

Well, that's soon over isn't it! What a very enjoyable weekend, thanks all for the hospitality and company. Thanks to Tom and Kwackers for 'organising' the event, even the weather turned out to be reasonable(ish). Thanks to the Major for erm........no, sorry can't think of anything!

Off now to prepare the photographic evidence!

Oh, Jimmy says thanks Debs for the surprise snack!

A jolly good meet! Good to catch up with folks and to meet for the first time with others...although I'm still reeling from the vision of kwackers in a suit! Was the cap surgically removed?

A Grand Sunday lovely to meet up again with some old pals and make new ones at last I have met Kwakers we found we have some very old friends in common.

Haydn I hope your back in proves and you are feeling better soon.

Shame the Kilters could not stay over night Robin you missed the
Eleven O clock Gun.

We called to see Sea Rush at 8am Sunday but they where all asleep.
Heres some pics.

Sorry to miss you Dave, but yes, we were all snug & snoring until about 9.30. Someone told us it had been wet & windy, but I didn't believe them. Yeah, our new conservatory is a great success, I am looking for some cane furniture & some patio plants now. 2 sprayhoods & a bimini all zipped together. It will be interesting to see how it behaves at anchor next . . .

Good to see everybody (sorry Stu!), but I'm really losing patience with this mobo lot - Where are the pictures of "The Accused"?

Such a shame his best suit was let down by an 'iffy' tie ;)

(Oh, and someone said that Burtons in Bangor was missing a dummy  )

Thanks also to Mucky Farter for the fine spread and hospitality.

All the best,

Andy
