Yep - north up for me.
but as Wiggo says - its course up for the Radar.
So there's something else for you all to comment on.
Radar - course up of North up?
We got playing with the new G Series the other day whilst going through the Alderney race and there's a set up where you can do a sorth of Google Earth and watch yourself from about 2000 feet and from any angle or distance - in 3D - even see yourself coming - if you know what I mean.
I'll do a write up on our installation sometime - when I've understood it all - just spent two weeks getting it all working the way I want - I should think its probably the most sophisticated leasure system out there at the moment.
North up for me .
Its pretty well proven that north-up displays are easier to interpret in situations when workload / stress is high, requiring less mental resources to maintain a greater positional awareness relative to the route your trying to follow .
But I would say go with whatever your most comfortable with but avoid switching if you can help it.
