North Sea to The Black Sea via The Danube

We are planning a trip from UK to Turkey via Holland and The Danube. This seems a little travelled route and we are having trouble researching it. Any pointers, hints, suggestions would be very welcome.

Danube to the Black Sea

First Mate and I met a bloke who did exactly that in a clinker built sailing boat in the early 90's.

He was lucky to squeeze out before the $H1t hit the fan in the balkans.

We met him by the Cadbury factory at Bournville on the GU Canal.

The hight limit was recently increased at the Black Sea end, it used to be 4.5m but it is now just over 6m

it has most of the European Canal systems on it
