Can you recommend a new North Sea pilot book as my old one is a tad out of date! Of particular interest is the recommended small craft track away from Harwich/the Deben off towards Ostend avoiding the Sunk centre system.

surely you just need an up to date inshore chart
Admiralty 1406 will give you the Southern North Sea
Brian Navin North France & Belgian cruising companion ( Neville Freathestone) will give info from Cherbourg > Vlissingen

Its an awfully long way round if you go North of the Sunk.

We normally go out the Medusa channel, then NE Gunfleet, Long Sand Head, then South Galloper (or further south near North Falls Tail according to wind).
