Jane and I are on board until at least tomorrow, possibly until first thing Saturday morning (debating whether to stay or go a day early given the forecast)

given the forecast high winds for tomorrow ( gusting up to 60kts here, F12 out at sea :O ) does anybody need anything checking?

That is very kind... Toma should be OK laid up in the other part... but if you want to wander round please feel free to have a look... We mighe even be amenable to a pint of wallop at the end of the day...

I'll take a turn around the yards when it gets light

yeah, shipping forecast is/ was F9, several of the weather service providers (Meteo Consult being the main one I use, have been forecasting gusts of up to F12 over and above the basic F9

Hope you were OK overnight after all.
Interesting, I wonder where they got F12 from having looked at the pressure charts. Didn't seem that special at all down here in East Kent overnight (somewhat unlike the last one!) although I saw a F9 gust at Manston earlier this morning.

bit of a disturbed night. the later forecasts reduced the gusts to F10 so I guess it was just an anomaly in the program run

Tomahawk looks OK Chris

I wouldn't want to be down on the river though!

Hi Erbas.

I've only just seen this thread and just want to say thanks for the offer to check other people's boats - much appreciated.

I think my boats OK and we seem to be over the worst so, on this occasion, no more checking required. But thanks again for the offer.

haven't seen any sign of any problems either at the haven our at the yacht station. things didn't get as bad in the end as some forecasts were indicating

just got the washing up to do then we'll take a wander down to the pub - been here four days and haven't had a pint yet!
