My companionway steps have a white non-slip strip about 2 cms wide stuck along the edge of each step and which also helps seeing them better. It needs replacing. Any ideas where I could get this? I don't want horrible Treadmaster.

I've found it readily available at good Chandlers. I think I'm right in saying that it's a 3M product. It comes on a roll and you buy by the metre.

Not sure what you mean by "horrible Treadmaster" but I have a roll of light caramel coloured trackmark type stuff. It has a sticky back that is well past it's best (but Evostik or similar solves the problem) and I have used it on my companion steps & boarding ladder. It looks good to me.
Would it suit & how much do you need? Want to make me an offer?
