As far as numbers of replies go the top two posts on Wednesday morning are non sailing subjects.

Does this tell us anything at all about the forum?

It probably means that few of us are actually sailing, and looking for any diversion to vent our frustration until we get back afloat !

Just confirms how knowledgeable we all are ,on a wide range of subjects... for example if I asked who has the best cricket team in the World, I bet you could tell me ( he he he )

Re:Comfort

Or does it mean that all the boaty questions have been asked numerous times before and one can predict the answers by the time you are 2 word into the 1st line. With a few notable exceptions of course.

I think that the regulars want a little more diversification, hence the lack of interest in "whats the best way to stop my windows leaking?"

I'll now stand back and wait to be beaten up.

Being in France we only get Radio 4 LW and the World Service. R4 has for some time now been polluted by a completely disproportionate amount of air-time given over to the most boring sport in the world played by what must be the weakest English team in any sport.

Despite what was announced on the Beeb website, ie that they were going to broadcast the Ireland v France Rugby match, what came over the air but more bloody cricket between teams that wern't even British.

It's bad enough in the summer but when we have to listen to it in the winter as well... I mean they even broadcast through the tea breaks.

Is it because the BBC sports programming is controlled by some Hooray Henrys who think that BBC means English Broadcasting Company??

Most often the case

And I think its healthy.

Wouldn't it be boring if we were all one dimensional sailors.
