I there such a thing as non crushable heater ducting? PVC drainpipe worked well on the intake side but I doubt if it will take the heat on the output

Is that this stuff? Is it much stronger than the standard?

Depending on the diameter you can source ali solid pipe for straight runs if there are really vulnerable areas but the Ali ducting I use is pretty robust as is the standard APK duct for any normal install.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will go with the solid alloy pipe, I see its available on ebay. Feed up trying to take the dents out the other stuff, its just in a really vulnerable place.

OK, but make sure you lag it well unless it's in a locker where you want a bit of warmth for clothing etc it makes a great radiator or heat robber depending on your requirements. The stuff on Ebay from motorsport places is good, also various angled bends should you need them, it's only rated to +125 deg but I have never had a problem with it, but I have never used it close to the heater.
