Noisy Volvo 290 leg

I ran the engine up to warm up the engine oil yesterday and noticed that the top of the leg
was clattering. Do they always make this noise or is somthig amiss? The clutch cone was replaced during the winter by VP main dealer, so I presume they wouldn`t have reassembled it with worn out UJ. Any ideas please.

Does it clatter in gear or neutral or both. Does turning the leg make any difference?

I put it in gear ahead for a moment, it sounded just the same. Hav'nt tried on lock though.

Get it seen to asap.

A couple of hundred quid for a new UJ or bearing is nothing compared to the ££££'s you can spend if it lets go at speed.
