Noisy Mooring Lines

I take it this is a marina problem as I have never heard it? Try a swinging mooring, a fore & aft trot or a quayside mooring with a 30' tidal rise & fall. My lines NEVEr squeak, unless I've cocked up the rise & fall & she is hanging off the wall by her cleats. (& no I haven't managed that yet)

Sweet, sticky, sickly. Okay as a cough mixture but how is it called whisky?

Maybe lubricate the lines with it....
