can anyone help with this problem.i have a mitchell 31 that is powered by a 120hp ford
the boat has a sealed deck with screw down hatches but the boat is open underneath with only one full bulkhead forward of the wheelhouse making it very noisy when steaming.
build extra bulkheads would be difficult around the machinery and related gear.
the lift off engine box is 20mm ply that is glassed over and has sound proofing fitted inside
but engine noise travels around under the boat and makes for an unpleasant time whilst steaming so bad is it that you cant hold a conversation in the wheelhouse.
any answers would be appreciated
