I called the heehaw frenchy airline to see the cost of upgrade to business class and established that as Air France Flying Blue summink ticket thing holder it was 80 euos plus a stack of airmiles. I thought airmiles were BA? Whatever. I have to call and find out how much later

BUT i then realised that if I upgraded I wd be abandoning Stingo all on his own in coach class - which would be very unfriendly and all horridly superior-ish.

THUS i will stay in real gritty crew area and discuss actual navigation issues etc with stingo.

I imagine that SOME people wouldn't consider these finer points of crew morale, would they, hm? No.

THink you'll find its more of an age thing with the elderly requiring more room for arthtitic limbs, prosthetics and colestomy bags (personal holding tank).

axshally, yer no quite right. efter discussing things like wheel chair access with hee-haw french laddie and mentioning my veteran staus, and clearly in despair as i recounted my straitened circumstances when told there wasn't enough room, i was further upgraded to first where i can motor around in comfort and where there's a power socket to recharge the chair's batteries. i could hear a sob catching in the wee man's throat ....

but think of the complete absence of guilt you will feel when you have too tell them that erm their cabins are now unforeseeably required to house additional delicate electric gimmicry to allow remote navigation and helm, and house emergency sextant, all of which must be stored carefully in aoir conned environament. so they have to occupy the equivalent of the chain locker.

Anyway i have upgraded stingo and myself top the very front two seats and will babble at you every forty minutes *right* in the middle of a film, as though you're really interested in the boring job of flying an aeroplane.

Don't worry Matt, have already tipped off US immigration control of elderly business class passengers smuggling diamonds in their rectae. So suspect your crew might well hae sair erses even afore ye stert!
