Just realised I have no polarity warning light (so the shore power will not work if the wiring on the pontoon is ‘different’). What’s going to happen to my boat if I hook up to a supply that is reverse polarity? Do I need add a gizmo to tell me to rewire the shore power? TIA.

When I designed my shore power system, I included a polarity indicator consisted of 2 neon's one red and one green

The red was connected between the mains neutral, and the mains ground and the green was connected between then line and mains ground

Green should be on and the red must be off

Easiest is probably to buy something like

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Socket-Tester-Polarity-Electrical-Wiring/dp/B013WWKQV0

and make up an intentionally (and clearly labelled!!!!) reversing lead.
