Essex Boatyards own 80ATS and have it on one of their range rovers

Just take N 80ATS off my Amazon

Not going to put it on my Range Rover as I have another one I want to use

Anyone any idea of it's value (if it has any value)?

Surely that's actually N80 ATS ?

Hate mis-spaced plates, they always have a strong whiff of "fake Rolex" to me.

Quite right sir - you and Hampshire Constabulary agree on the number plate but I can assure you that my Rolex is absolutely genuine;)

Yes, it is not legal to change lettering shape or positioning.

My wife received a ticket for having "show plates" in her boot that had unacceptable spacing, italics and background. The (Scottish) Police did her because her number plates were Velcro'd on and the show plates had corresponding Velcro. Supposedly they had reports her car had been seen with the plates on driving on the roads - which it hadn't, but that's rival car clubs for you. LoL.

£30 max fine the last time I looked. Golly gosh.

My fine was only £20 - but then that was about 14 years ago.

Still left the plate on as I took offence at policeman's bolshie attitude and about three years later got stopped again by same police force - no fine but was advised to change the plate so I did:)

Is it worth attracting their attention and the subsequent hassle though?

Apart from that, mis-spaced/doctored/dodgy number plate screwed/generally messed about with plates are just a bit wannabe aren't they? Like a fake Rolex, they suggest to the world "I really wanted a proper one, but I just couldn't afford it".

What was the offence? Surely you can have whatever you want written on plates in the boot, it's not illegal.

Saying that she had the capability to swap them and someone reported her is a bit like saying "someone said you were going really fast the other day and your car clearly has the ability to break the speed limit, so we're booking you".

I can't see how that would stand up...
