Any one know the current regs regarding disposal of black and grey water into Hollands inland seas (sorry cannot spell Ooesterscheld ??? etc )
I sailed there 4 years ago and seem to remember them being pretty laid back.

Many thanks

No specific regulations going on in Holland, but wouldn't advice to dump massive loads on either Oosterschelde or Grevelingen (hey, that's my sailing area!!). Lots of marina's and other places with off-loading installations. If you're unwilling to pay for berthing, just offload and sail on. Happy sailing!

Or, if you meant you haven't got a holding tank installed, no problem either. I think 80-90% of the Dutch (including myself) sail along without one. For the miss's, an underwater toilet is installed, us guys have only to worrie about the wind direction....

Many thanks for replying - I do not have a holding tank, I promise I wont over pollute your waters!! What about doing the washing up in marina's, The discharge is above the waterline as on most boats any problems with that?

No problem with that either. Although we tend to do our dishes onboard, only at small clubs and anchorages. Most marinas have facilities to do this (warm water and big sinks) and if you combine this with a toilet visit, it will save you a walk.....
