Raymarine have an Seatalkng to Seatalk1 connector block . Is this a 2 way interface.

Really need NMEA2000 data converted to Seatalk1

Are you trying to get engine data into a Raymarine device? As Ridax says the Actisense device converts NMEA0183 to NMEA2000 and doesn't do Seatalk - the only thing it would do is make it possible to get NMEA2000 into the Raymarine device via NMEA0183, all a bit retro!

Which does your display work on Seatalkng or 1? I assume you need to add an NMEA2000 device to the network - this can be done with a cable and a four way connector block - I'll put some photos up later when I get to where they all are!

Options

You are quite right about my initial post.
As I could not find a result for the initial question the prospect of converting NMEA2000 to NMEA 0183 will allow me to achieve my aim of getting wind and nav data into my ST60+ autopilot controller. The ST60+ has one NMEA 0183 input.

Any means is quite acceptable.

OK - where is the wind and nav data coming from? I assume from your post it is in NMEA2000 format?

If it's a case of getting NMEA2000 into an NMEA0183 port then it seems the Actisense product is probably the way to go!

I have the STng/Seatalk1 bridge but don't have it installed yet, as I have a ST70 display that is doing pretty much the same thing. If you want I can try to plug in the STng/Seatalk1 bridge to confirm if the autopilot control head gets STng information.

If I were you, I would prefer to convert data from STng to Seatalk1, as this makes all data available to the Seatalk bus, while the autopilot controls usually have very limited (if any) relaying functionality onto the Seatalk bus from NMEA. This way, you would also save the NMEA input for a GPS in future (if you don't get a Seatalk GPS). Not sure which autopilot control you have, don't think there is any ST60+ control.

Instruments

This is what I will be doing.
Navman wind instrument with NMEA 0183 output. Feed into the Chartplotter via NMEA 0183 input.

Garmin Chartplotter (either 750s or 5208) that has NMEA2000 output as well as NMEA 0183. Chartplotter will only output nav data on 0183 but all data on NMEA 2000.
Depth via the chartplotter.

Want to feed the data into either Seatalk or NMEA 0183 input on the ST60+ autopilot instrument as it will operate on wind or nav data.

This is then fed into the Raymarine series 300 autopilot.

Will not be using any other Seatalk instruments.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm a new member and have a question regarding the conversion of NMEA0183 to NMEA2000. I have a new Volvo Penta with an EVC that is a NMEA2000. I would like to tie my Garmen chart plotter system (NMEA0183) into the EVC system to expand the capabilities of my fuel management system. Is this possible? I have looked at the Actisense but I think that will only convert one component and not the navigation system. Is this true? Any help would be greatly welcomed.
Thank you, confused TK.
