This may well have been posted before, but I didn't find anything with a quick search.
In any event, the NMEA website was the last place I expected to find free information on NMEA 2000 before I stumbled on it, so I guess there are many who won't have seen this.
It lists the NMEA 2000 PGNs with details of the data fields they contain, although obviously if you want to know which actual bits and bytes are used you'll need to buy the standard.
