Hi... tentatively thinking of my next boat as I am getting too old and weak to remove a couple of Sterndrives every other year!
One boat that occasionally crops up and registers an interest is the Nimbus 280.
I notice the fuel tank capacity is only 200 litres ... what sort of cruising range can you expect allowing for the 20% contingency. As an ex sailor 15 to 18 knots cruise is ample or at 200 rpm below WOT? What sort of fuel consumption at those speeds with the 150hp Volvo (TAMD31P). 200 litres doesn’t seem a lot as my current 27 foot cruiser has nearly double that.
Can a “get you home” outboard be fitted as an emergency kicker? Being on the East Coast we don’t have SeaStart or equivalent ... at least with a sailing boat we had flappy things!!!!
