Hi, I'm looking for a good seaworthy hull form (Nelson derived ideally). I understand from previous threads that Nimbus are held in esteem due to the build quality. Budget constraints mean we are looking at sub £40k. Had seen some 280's which tick our boxes (rear cockpit area with built in seating, cooking/refrigeration, heating and hot water, seating within wheelhouse, electric windlass, inboard diesel and shaft drive, good sea keeping) but they were over budget. Just seen a 27 coupe on a website that looks like a good contender. The overall structure looks the same as a 280 and the only 2 things I can see that is different is a longer bathing platform and no hard roof extension. Is there anything else? Any uptown date views on the 2 models?

We had a 3003, excellent boat and now they are buyable in your price range. If a decent one can be found I wouldn’t hesitate to have another. Take a look (this one is sold)

Nimbus 3003 For Sale | Norfolk Yacht Agency | NYB1566

I remember the informative email you sent me before we went ahead with the purchase of our 3003.
I think it's a pity that the Nimbus owners website requires a subscription before you can access the information the OP is after.
There is a useful Facebook group for the 3003, it's mainly Swedish but auto translate helps but I can ask a question in English and they're happy to answer in English

There is an ACM 31 for sale here in Plymouth Dufour ACM ACM Elite 31 Used Boat for Sale 1999
They seem to get a good write up on this forum if you do a search. Very similar to the Nimbus 310
We had a look at it and really liked it, but decided it's not big enough for us. Above your budget, but I understand the asking price (£50k) is negotiable. PM me if you want more details.
