Nidelv ... http://www.nidelv.no ... built boats since 1929 ... and very well made indeed... Durable interior and good fibreglass works. Traditional construction ..

The 26
blogg
started it's design life in a 24' guise

... way back into the mid 70's,and is still very popular today amongst the newcomers to boating in Norway. Probably one of the best selling manufaturers of leisure boats in Norway. The recent economic climate, combined with the development of their biggest boat made yet (Commuter 11), did cause financial difficulties in 2009, and I am not sure what happened to the manufaturing plant since then.

Bascally, the 26 is a solid and well made boat and should serve the owners well for years to come (subject to engine maintenance etc. of course).

You are confusing Nidelv with Askaladden, they developed the Commuter 11, iI know as I test drove it with Zues drives which completely blow IPS out of the water.
My boss bought the whole Askaladden factory and we sold off the last 300 boats but they were a nightmare as they were thrown together so we sold off the factory to some investors and sold the agency to someone else and now we don't touch them, shame as they were good boats but the quality slipped.
Nidelv we also sold but they were too expensive, trying to charge Windy money for a Nidelv, I had the job of testing everyone we sold and there is something inherently wrong in the balance as every sterndrive version would only drive with trim almost full down, try and trim up and they porpoise.
Nice boats but expensive for what they are.

Thanks Alf for the pics and info

Looked at the Spec for the 26 Classic I presume they are shaft drive... the Boat I was looking at had Yanmar Diesel 75 and was a 2003

Any ideas on the Ex Works Cost for this Model as it was mentioned that they were priced high

Thanks again for your help
