Nicole - Bermuda Hurricane today

Bit surprised as a UK territory this storm is off the radar on the UK news I watch/read.

Esp. so with the Americas Cup there next year.



From what i read its now a Cat 4 and heading straight to the island ETA noon today with eye 35 wide.

Yup an old uni friend of mine lives out there with his family. In fact he runs one of the marinas there so I expect he's been busy these last few days in preparation

A friend of mine lives there, and she reported later on FB how when the eye went over them all the birds and frogs started up again in the lull. Quite amazingly they seemed to have power restored everywhere very quickly, and I have not heard of any lives lost, in sharp contrast to Haiti when Matthew visited them recently.

From what I see the island was ready and the buildings stood up well

No injuries but huge percentage of home without power which was rectified ( no pun intended) very quickly Thurs pm /Fri.
