Well,

Minding my own business today going down Southampton water, and guess who told me to mind my wash, bloody mobo's and other things that cant be typed?

Have a look here,

And here

Notice the way Nick is trying to hide? is this because he has been seen? or because of the name or both, the funny thing is that the rag and stick still had its motor running, so Nick you have been caught I feel you need to explain and confirm either way?

Whilst I agree that the good looking guy hiding from the camera looks a bit like me I do not accept this as conclusive proof...

My legal team will be seeking a court injunction to prevent similar photos and unsubstantiated allegations being published.

A brief statement

Ok this is it.....a statement

We had a fantastic day with our freinds sailing and I could actually see us doing it...........one day.

The silence was wonderful and the feeling of the power of the slight winds today was good - negligable fuel costs etc also a bonus.

HOWEVER Sailing is not quite for us yet . Joanne feels that with two young girls who prefer to arrive than to travel as well as having general time restraints we are likely to pass up the possibilty of buying a sailing boat for the time being.

I was very keen to go the sailing route but accept that its not us at this time although wish to learn more about it and have further goes whenever anyone is kind enough to invite me along at least as balast....

IMHO every mobo should have a go sailing as I found it enlightening and fun.

I trust this will end all further speculation regarding light/darkside etc etc

But then you just never know.......... ;-)

surely.......

Looking at those photos.Surely in any boaty journey, the whole idea is to move in a forward direction at some(any) point in time during the day.

<hr width=100% size=1>Stupid place to leave an island anyway......

Re: surely.......

Actually, looking at the pics more critically, I have to ask if this so called 'sailing experience' was really a sailing experience at all....
a) the boat is upright...everbody knows that raggies always sail leaning over to greater or lesser degree
b) only the helmsman is visibly doing anything and that seems to be simply holding on to the wheel
c) whilst the mainsail seems to be up the boom is clearly sheeted hard in to midships and the sail seems to be performing little if any useful purpose
d) none of the 'crew' (i use the word loosely) appear to be performing any useful function at all, they have no sheets or halyards in their hands. On a MoBo at least one of them woould be handing the drinks round - on a real raggie boat their bodies would be contorted every which way either trying to keep the boat balanced or to stop themselves falling overboard
e) I would hazard a guess that they might actually be motoring.....so it was really mobo-ing in a different shape boat
f) no self respecting mobochat skipper would wear a cap like that

If you want to see what serious raggies look like when theyre out to play look at powerskippers pic...togged up to the nines with ropes and winches all over the place......

You may well try and hide Nick....seems to me as if the whole thing was some Max Clifford inspired stunt to try and throw us off the real story which is yet to emerge..........

As per normal, Joanne has persuaded you to see sense. What would you do without her?

Re: A brief statement

Nick is such a wimp! I am the skipper of Gnutcracker 111 and took Nick and Joanne out last Sunday. I think that Nick really enjoyed himself (particularly since he didn't have to buy any diesel!!) but June (my galley slave and wife) and I reckoned it was a bit too slow for racy Joanne!!

Does anyone know how to fix Nick's broken gearbox? That's the main reason that he wanted to try REAL boating in a REAL boat and not a smokey gas guzzler!!

Re: A brief statement

Welcome to this loony forum John - I am sure you will fit in well!

Yes I sure did enjoy it and so did Joanne but as many people know Joanne likes a bit of speed - she now wants a boat that will do 35 knts plus....

I am still working on her and I may just give way on this as I tend to dictate things around here it seems only fair to let Joanne have a degree of choice.....
