Arrived last night. Took the motorway route so didn't go along the promenade. Arrived on our boat at 22:30 to fireworks. Went to be and woke up to hear the awful news.

No one deserves these attacks.

Positively +1 to the thread title.
And a thought for those involved and their families.

+1 Hoping that all forumites and their families are safe. I can find no appropriate words to describe the attack only to say that despite our current differences, the UK stands with France today

Not normally a SoF forumite, but here in Nice on a break.

Decided not to go down on the promenade for the fireworks.

Determined not to let fear affect us and will continue to enjoy exploring this beautiful place.

On our boat - in La Napoule - Cannes fire works .can see + our own marina show .
So all ok here .
How ever conversations with locals -this Am --deep down feel ( rightly or wrongly / not judgemental ) -turned to "Islame " and a seemingly underhand - pat on the back for Uk stance re Bexit - as if via "imigration. ' " is the root of the terrorist probs . French I think have come to the end of there tether -some 280 folks have died in past 12/12 -they are calling for "strong " action -what ever means ?
Rise in far right movements .
