Hi all,
thought I would share this with you, first day out on my (new to me) boat colvic countess 28ft based at bridgemarsh marina river crouch, to me it is a big boat and i was quite nervous going out so enlisted a friend for to some help to make sure that sods law didnt get me on my own, I havent sail the boat before so all sorts of negative thoughts clouded my mind, however what a brilliant sail. A strong NE breeze and we stormed up river on jib only and to my surprise it was balanced, responsive and exceeded my expectations, went up to brandy hole then turned back fighting the last of the flood done some tacking (just the jib up ) and she went round quickly and with no hesitation, all in all a wonderful day, and we got sunshine! cant wait to do it all again.
