And a few more..... all from Swansea bay 2020 - I’m not sure the ‘nice’ bit reflects picture two here as I’m notorious photoshy.

Lovely spot, hoping to visit Kenmare Bay on my Summer cruise next year. Based on Lough Ree but try to get down to Kerry and West Cork every second year. Thinking of doing a night or two in Dromquinna and maybe a night in Bunaw. Think we have 5 or 6 boats going next June/July.
If you do get down this way, do let me know in advance. I may be of some help. If you're coming by sea, remember that you have almost 30 miles of bay to travel before you get to Kenmare. Probably why we don't get too many visiting boats.

That all looks remarkably calm that must be the other Welsh Med????

Apart from the obvious issues this year (and we bought the boat in February and endured lockdown and marina lockdown issues) we’ve actually had a cracking year on the water. We managed over 50 engine hours and quite a few nights onboard so it could have been much worse.

Thanks Sogood,
I’ll give you a shout. Yeah it’s a long way up the Kenmare River but worth it for a bit of cruising. I was down in 2019 and did the new marina in Bantry which was great. I’d like to spend 3 days cruising the Kenmare River. Is there plenty of depth at the Dromquinna jetties?

A Very Happy and Healthy New Year to all.

A couple of pictures of my boat, not common in UK waters, any guesses as to make / model.

Nordic Tug 37. I could probably add the name and home marina if it is the one I am thinking of ?

We tried to buy the 32 that was on the market for years in Scotland - it was asking silly money for a long time but reduced to a more reasonable level and we viewed it in January. We decided we wanted to buy it and put our S34 on the market but Covid slowed things down. When the deal was sealed on the S34 I called the Broker to make an offer only to find that they had just accepted an offer on the Nordic. A quick return to the drawing board led us to our Hardy Commodore 36, which with hindsight is probably a better option than the 32 given the increased accommodation on a 36 footer.

I am a fan of Nordics and really like the 37 ?
