The engine looks like its a 4 cylinder Ford. easey to work on and still plenty of spares about. Rebuilt one of these including engine and other bits in the late 1980/s it really looked the Dogs bxxxxxxs when finished. Loads of varnish mind to keep up.

But it was not a Ford engine used in most Healeys. They had a BMC B-Series 1500cc twin carb engine fitted.
Steve Carpenter, who restored the boat in my pictures, did have some trouble having some of the marinisation manifolds replaced.
It was a bit low on power and tended to dig-in if he turned too tightly at full speed.
He replaced it with an MGB 1800cc unit which solved the problem, but his cooling troubles took a bit longer to sort.

In addition to his design work and making, competent high quality and surefooted sportscars Healey also had a passion for speedboats. These craft were built in the late fifties and early sixties from timber and then fibreglass and share many of the qualities of the sportscar range. Four cylinder BMC B series and six cylinder Healey 3000 engines were chosen as powerplants because of their reliability and torque. The MGA 1,588cc unit had a power output of 80 bhp, which meant the Healey 75 would acquit itself very well in the water and also be capable of towing a water skier.
