Gentle run up to the Boulters Lock Inn for lunch in the bar (nice pontoon now by the way).

Then a good run to Temple only marred by some rain at Cookham and a submerged layby at Temple.

Good to be out, river is flowing a bit though!

We shall be going past there on Friday so will check it out then. Looking forward to a few days at Cookham chilling out, well not literally I hope given the weather forecast... Can't wait for a proper break on the boat, seems like ages. We've got a 4 month old pup now so will be the first overnights for her as well so should he interesting.

Ooh - what's Boulters like now? Was thinking of going but waiting to see if anyone else thinks it's half decent :D

There is a restaurant with a bar upstairs. We ate in the bar which was busy but had plenty of room. Nice food at reasonable (gastropub-type) prices. Restaurant itself looked quieter but have eaten there before and the food is good although obviously more cheffy and expensive.

Sounds good - might give it a try :D

Well as I draw 3'6", at least that. Biggest challenge was with the flow down the weir stream so high it took a bit of effort to get off the pontoon - stream tended to push you back on.
Hmmmm... so I wonder what it will be at normal river levels? I draw around 4 feet and whenever I've looked over to the pontoon when waiting for the lock it always looked pretty shallow to me - have they done any dredging do you know?

No idea on dredging but depth showed plenty of water under the keel when I was there. Can't remember exactly but certainly more than 1ft (and I think over 2).
