I've spent the last three summers in Palma. I've had trips to Ibiza/Formentera as well as Menorca, not to mention sailed around Mallorca. This summer I'm looking at the option of spending some time at the coast of the mainland. The plan would be to start out by passing from Port de Soller to Barcelona, spend a few days in Barcelona (and have some day cruises out of Barcelona) and then continue along the coast south for a few days and return to Mallorca.

I have no experience of this coast line. Do any of you forumites have any recommendations for nice anchorages and marinas around and south of Barcelona? All and any facts and recommendations are most welcome!

We are planning to do something similar during the middle two weeks in August.
The only information I have is from my own research.
My thoughts that some of the coastline from L'Estartit to L'Escala and the coastline from Roses to the French border seem likely places to anchor.
We will probably head for Barcelona for a couple of days and then marina hop to L'Estartit and see what happens.

But if anyone has any suggestions I would be interested.

Hoya,

The coastline south of Barcelona has no anchorages to note until Sant Carles de la Rapita, a long way down.

Your best bet is to go up the coast, from Tossa onwards there are places to be found
