Tested out the Rocna 15kg at Newtown Creek yesterday, and …
… it works!

It's an easy and useful upgrade for an SC35 because it fits the anchor pocket and roller without having to mod anything.

No more sliding around in the mud for us.

I've tested my 15kg rocna at Newtown many times with no problem. On Sunday was anchored at Bramble Bush Bay (Poole Hrb), up towards the house boats and realised I was dragging. Had just over 3 to 1 scope but the wind was very gusty up to 27 knots, shallow water and a vicious chop. Got the anchor up and not much mud on it so wonder whether I had hit a hard patch so it wouldn't dig in.
Moved to Blood Alley Lake and used a scope of over 6 to 1 and no problem. Anchor came up this morning covered in mud.

Will try Bramble Bush again as it made a change for me.
