Hi there

I'm new here but have been boating since i was a boy.

Got a few pics of our day out yesterday to introduce me and our boat!

We launched at Rhosneigr (Anglesey) and headed down the West coat towards Llandwyn.

Hi Gareth, Welcome to the forum.

You will probably realise that there is a large N Wales contingent on here with some of us in Caernarfon, Port Dinorwic, Conwy, Holyhead and Pwllheli.

Welcome Gareth ,good set of pics. It was a great day wasn't it? We would have passed very close to you on our way to Porth Dinllaen. If your ever around the vicinity of Port Dinorwic pop in and see us. But be sure to radio in and ask permission off the Harbour Master first!

How do Gaz,
Sorry I don't believe those photos were yesterday....they must be some past snaps of that barmy summer we had back in 2003 :)

That looks like a lovely quiet spot to chill out.

Welcome aboard gaz & co. Be warned there are raggies about! And don't go wearing out my beach!

Seriously tho' good to see you out & about enjoying the boat & the first bit of decent weather we've had this year. They do say that bad winters go with good summers, so I hope it's true - we're due a decent summer.

Hi Gareth, Welcome to the forum.

Then there's the North Wales appreciation society which reaches out wide across the world to even the most remote colonies.:)

As recently as last week I was using my newly acquired cyba knowledge of the area to an ex-local of NW, of course I could only name drop the pronounce-able words ;-)

Gaz

If you see a yacht called 'Searush' anchored in that scenic bay, remember the skipper is known to be sympathetic to the mobo cause, and particuarly responsive when circled at high speed at a close distance.

He may come out of his companion-way making gestures....but be assured, they are well meaning:D

Sorry i have not replied sooner, i work away all week!

Many thanks for the welcome, hope to see you all out on the water...

...Which leads me to my next point.....

Found it !

Tom

I think i found you today, moored in Rhosneigr Bay.

I must appologise as i wasn't driving and my boat came a little close to your stern at speed!!!! :o

I gave my (Very experienced) driver a talking to on the beach!

Yes, they set out at lunchtime today.

You missed out there, as Little Ship's drinks cabinet has just been restocked after the winter layover.

OK so there;'s a drink theme here?

Now i do like a drink, and maybe partake in the odd cheap Scandanavian lager at sea....

However i'm sure the joke is not on me?

Is the joke that we all drink too much?

Or is the joke that YOU all drink too much?

Either way i'm happy! "HiccUP"

We drink very little, surprisingly, but occasionally a fully laden drinks cabinet needs to be shown who is boss.

Excessive drinking and boating is discouraged, so we make sure all is secured to a dock for the night, before the raiding starts.
