Newbie Sunfury

I've just taken ownership of a Sunfury 26, and been making my way from Bray to Caversham.

The gear stick fell off stuck in reverse at Temple and then the batteries failed and had to be pulled out of Hurley before an engineer came out courtesy of RCR.

For a while I was just on one engine and very much a newbie so for anyone that came across me thank you for your help and patience!!!

Now I'm looking for a decent engineer as have a lot of work I want to do to her. Any recommendations?

My first thought, especially given your location, would be Gil or John from DB Marine - they are the Volvo Penta specialists and are not far from you at Cookham. They look after our boat very well.

Not the one I was thinking of then. We knew some people who had one at Bray marina for about 10 years and I think they only took it out the marina about 5 times!

We used to own Gourmet which we kept in Chichester until about 10 years ago when we brought her up to Penton to be sold, I believe it may have moored between Penton and Bray. Was 5 years old when we purchased it. Cracking boat.
