Newbie - advice please

Assuming you are cash buyer, I think you have more budget than you need for S34/ S37/ S38/ T34/ T37 etc.

I'd guess you are in Sc35 maybe t38 territory ... Good luck

The dont really work well without the chargers - you should notice better get up and go with them re-instated

She's running on C3's instead of C4's and upwards to compensate. So get up and go she has in spades, it's topend is a lack lustre 24knts before I hit max revs. She should be in the mid 30's minimum. I'm hoping with C4's and functional compressors to make 30 at cruise as the boat only really comes alive at 23 knts and then I'm revving to high for my liking. However without compressors she cannot get over the hump with C4's on and the turbo's dont get to come on song.

A cruise speed of 30 will do me just fine if it spares the engines a bit. Not that there are many days when I could safely excede 30 here. It is more a case of how the boat starts to perform after mid 20's. Under that and she feels like she's dragging something still, above that and she becomes as light as a feather, drops the bow and runs as if on rails.

Very wise going straight for a 37/38 ft size boat. We went through the Sealine range of 195 and S24 before reaching our S37 which we've had from new in 2002. I was amazed how easy it was to manage a larger boat compared with a single engined smaller one.
If you're keen to DIY service and want some change from your £100k then a S37 with the simple non electronic KAD43's is worth looking at. Still good for 32knots.
