Hi ive got an old 1969 grp boat 27ft. she is in need of alot of TLC the topside has been painted at some stage. and is now all peeling off and the deck has been painted with grey anitslip paint which is also peeling and looks a mess.im going to prim and then toplac the topsides but what is the best way to remove all the old paint?

try asking on PBO forum.
 
An orbital sander, the Bosch 270's are good. Get the discs on ebay in bulk.

Take it right back to gel coat.

I wouldn't use toplac on grp, I'd use perfection, its more expensive but will last longer.

Roller it on and tip it off with a foam brush top to bottom.
