New Year's Eve venue

I'm going to be sailing in The Solent for five days over the New Year period. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where to pull in for New Year's Eve? Quite fancied The Folly, but they're fully booked.
Just to set the scene; we're 4, maybe 5, early 50 somethings so, whilst not ready for bed at 10, we wont be wanting a drum and bass disco either.
Push comes to shove, we'll anchor somewhere and have our own do.

Cowes itself is a pretty good bash on NYE. 1 big street party with most people in fancy dress. Most people move between the different pubs and all in all a pretty good atmosphere.

Banana Wharf at Port Hamble Marina evidently put on a pretty good bash for New Years Eve. Friends went last year and had a great time. You'd have to book of course.
