New Years Eve on the east coast

Ah, was Sir shunted to the B list for glittering invites?

Actually, best phone Sarah....

Probably the Z list.

Got a reply this morning :

"disco upstairs heroes and villians theme £5 entry adults £2.50 child tickets on sale behind bar already. Disco 8 til 1 am "

As i said in the mobo forum, with it being a "heroes and villains" theme, i can go as i am :)

Just a reminder to anyone planning on NYE in Shotley, that the majority of us have now got tickets for the bash upstairs in the Shipwreck.... they're not at all expensive, and you can't usually get them on the night, so best make a phone call if you want to join in... number is 01473 788 865

The FullCircles have decided to decline the invitation to dress as either Hero or Villain.

As we will be heavily clad in oilies to watch the fireworks whilst stood on the marina entrance wall, we have no wish to freeze our nads off wearing a Batman outfit.

and for that, the rest of us are truly grateful!

No need to dress up.... we won't be!

Just had a look on Metcheck for weather.

Getting up to Shotley on 27th/28th appears to be 11-16 Knots, so thats good.

Coming back maybe a different issue

it's been one thing after another this year for me and mine. :( I am 99% sure we won't make it up to Shotley now as Marc has picked up some nightshifts over the holidays and I have no crew. I am determined that 2011 is going to be a better year!

NYE Ramsgate Fireworks

I'll be on the boat with some drink and fancy lights to watch the 'Civic display' ......if anybody fancies dropping by for drink.

Happy New Year to all - safe sailing

David

We've taken the decision to bin the trip to Shotley tomorrow.
Working late  and general malaise :( are bad enough without standing outside and not seeing fireworks due to the fog.
Anyhooo, Happy New Year to all the ECF bods.
We'll raise a glass or three to you all (it'll have to be Jura as the Xmas Glenfiddich went on Xmas morning - purely medicinal you understand:rolleyes:) and wipe a dewdrop off the hooter in celebration of another decade :o.
Cheers
D&G

Fog has meant no trip for us, so we have taken the sails off, and will be lifted 1st week of the New Year.

Attempting to bribe my way onto Pipedream II (if the heating is working)

or

Morgana (only if the heating isnt working)

see you all tomorrow afternoon.

We're looking dodgy for this evening - We've all had the lurgy over Christmas and Sue and Josie are still coughing like anything. Not sure a night on a boat in midwinter is the ideal treatment... :-(
