Looks a bit soulless now with all the new regimental pontoons. Didn't go there at all last year, do they still have the piles to moor between?

The webcam is very useful. We used it yesterday to check out the visability when there was fog around. Once we could see the end of the pier we headed to Yarmouth. It was a good trip on a flat Solent, but the fog did hang around so it was our first trip out of sight of land :D
I think we were probably the only visiting boat yesterday as both when we arrived and left there was nobody else around.
We had lunch at the Red Lion at Freshwater. They do very good food which I can recommend and you don't even feel guilty for eating all those calories as to get there is a four mile circular walk along the River Yar.

Sounds a nice day and a good use of the new webcam!
