Thought I'd say my hellos. I'm Andy, I live in Clacton-on-Sea but my boat is based at Brightlingsea.

It's a recent purchase and it's a Tomahawk 25 called Tammany. It's my first full size sailboat although I've had a power boat in the past and some dinghy experience. Been itching to get another boat for a while and always said it would be a sailboat if I did. She's in fair condition, just needs modernising and refurbishment. Engine is a Yanmar was a poor starter due to the normal exhaust valve issues but I've sorted that now with new valve, new valve seat and complete engine service. New filters, anode, injector clean etc etc.

Here she is, and a short video moving onto her new cheap mooring after engine rebuild. lol

Yep, although today it was fore aft & prop lol oops. I'm 3rd boat down on the left as your going into the marina.

Took her out for an estuary poodle today, what a lovely day. No wind though, had large foresail flying and gps speed over ground was 1.1mph lol. Their was a youth dinghy race going on and they didn't look happy. Still nice getting out.

I went down briefly to console my poor boat now stranded on Titchmarsh's hard standing and awaiting some professional work on her cruddy bottom. It did look lovely out there, but I'm not as young as wot I was.

This boat named Tomahawk is an Outremer 40/43.

We love B'sea but we can't get a mooring there…We have been on the list for four years so far and still waiting.

Coming along nicely.
We will be moving to Brightlingsea in 2 weeks time, also on a fore and aft mooring, but ours is a pile mooring upstream

I'm modernising the interior with more upto date materials in white, leather & wood accents. It's very 1970#s at the moment. Progress is slow at the moment though but she's coming out of the water soon so hopefully will speed things up a bit.

Had another couple of tides out their and now starting on the main cabin starboard side. A lot less work in this section than the galley side.

When I bought the boat it was half way between the piles and pontoons. In the middle of the picture more or less. Wanted a cheaper mooring near Point Clear though for easier access.
