New to me Beta 35. Sources of Consumables

A new Beta 35 now lurks below the companionway steps and is about to be introduced to working life.

However I do need to provide a support stock-holding of filters, impellers, belts, routine gaskets etc.

Can any Beta owners reccommend suppliers for such things?

Are there any general things I need to know to watch for, enjoy or avoid in the new world of Beta?

Congratulations on now owning a Beta engine, I have had Beta engines in both my boats over the last 25 years and have found them to be excellent.
For spares etc. contact Beta Marine, they are always very helpful, I think they do supply a 'cruising kit' of consumables,. Not sure you will need gaskets but spare impeller, filters and belt definitely worth carrying.

If its new you will have a WOC number for that engine with which you could start its life by ordering from Beta themeselves.After that you can consider if you want to make a modest saving by buying 'alternative' spares from other suppliers e.g. anodes.Sticking to Beta branded stuff could have an advantage in the unlikely event that you have a real issue over the 5 year warranty.Beta spares are available from other distributors such as ASAP supplies who are very much on-the-ball but Beta themeselves have a pretty smooth and helpful operation.

I can also recommend setting up an account with Beta.Once they have your WOC number any parts you order will be the right ones for your engine. Their prices are reasonable .

If you have any problems or questions on the engine they answer emails quickly and in my one experience they were extremely helpful.

I have used this online supplier several times for spare items for my 20 hp Beta
Beta
and have had no problems.
Especially the anode refills are good value IMO.
