Hi, have just joined so thought i'd say hello, i've just got back into the boating after many years away, forgotten how expenesive things can be,lol, I have a 17ft Dell quay dory with a Mariner 40 hp 96 year, in the process of changing it over to an electric start engine which i already have, same year and hp, will be launching mostly in and around Plymouth mostly the river Tamar but will going from other launch sites too. If you see me around say hello and any help or advice would be great

Hi Tony,

Dell quay's are great boats, I have the 13' version from back in the late 60's which my Dad bought, still going strong.

Perfect for fishing, very stable boats; and fast too.

Welcome to the forum. Hoping to do some cruising around Plymouth & Tamer this year, so will keep an eye out for you! We have a 15'9" Fletcher ArrowSport 'Contingency' - I'm guessing that at that age, your Dell Quay will be made by Fletcher too?
