New to boating - please help

Hi all, I have posted this elsewhere but am advised this is a better forum for my question.

I am new to boating, and have bought a Seasafe Dandy (which was a cheap and cheerful entry boat) and was looking to use her as a motor only boat as she has been stripped of all rigging etc.

Can anyone recommend a remote steering and throttle connection for a Nissan NS8 outboard engine? i.e. how do I find what connectors I need to save me buying all the wrong gear 'cheap' on e-bay?

You probably need someone to have a look at the boat and engine before you can be advised. Where are you? Otherwise if you are in a boatyard ask the people who are berthed near you if anyone knows anything about outboard controls.
