OK
More time now!
Yes check with the Harbourmaster etc ref theft in the area
That will be good whatever you end up with.
If you use your boat regularly and the battery is in good nick then I don't see the need to remove it much
The Merry Fisher types have walk around capability and a roof
If you aint skiing or pulling 'toys' then thats ok too
Although no doubt with a big lump some of those kinda activities would be possible.
Separate heads
Hmm
Some have 'porta potty' arrangements thats fer sure
Dunno for sure at what the size is when the bog is separate
But someone on here will tell you
Tother thing ref where you are thinking of 'parking'
Both outdrive types and outboard types will 'lift' out of the way of the sea bed when dry
But the more 'sedate Fishy jobs' are more flat aft (well deffo less pointy forward)
So tend to sit more upright than out and out sports boats.
You mention the RYA day skipper course
This is a great theory shore based course
I would reccomend the RYA PB2 course first.
Mostly done on RIBS
But the course will give you a better feel as to what you want too.
A trailered boat does have another advantage
It can be kept at home (or somewhere convenient) for Winter storage and fettling.
Cos I,ll tell yer one thing
And others will confirm
Boats seem to need one heck of a lot of fettling!
Welcome to boating!!!!
