Having never been on a Tiara or a Uniesse, how would a Uniesse 57 Open (with a custom closed top) compare to the 5800 Sovran?

Loved the Uniesse in "Into the Blue" (48 open?). Either a great piece of product placement, or someone making the film who hadn't only heard of Sea Ray.

hello Sundays
the Uniesse is an impressive beast, it handles the sea like it is nothing and many say in particular the 57 Open is the best Uniesse model to date....
the problem on comparing the 2 is the start production of these 2 models
the Uniesse 57 was introduced in 1997 and still going on while the Tiara 5800 is a new boat from top to bottom, that is a generation of difference
it is very obvious that the Tiara will score points in many area for better more modern design
seakeeping wise the Tiara is a fantastic boat and I always heard praises about them, also regarding the construction standard which is among the best coming from USA

what I would choose the Uniesse vs the Tiara is the 3 IPS engine configuration which is something I dont like much
I also think the Uniesse will score some extra points in heavy weather as it is a heavier boat with a very deep section forward, I think it is close to 50 deg in front
I then think on the other hand that the Tiara have some benefits of more experience in numbered production which according to many surveys is the best there is in the world

still a bit of different boats IMO but both them great ones, hoping that newer Tiaras 58 will have dual IPS with the new bigger vers
