New Thread

One of the better things about the compuserve forums was that they had teams of mediators, who had the ability to move off thread post, and all associated posts, to a new thread. Kept the original thread clean and to the point, without stopping the flow of conversation.

Wonder if Kim could come up with a way for us to self mediate with a tool to move bits of threads that.....probably impossible, as everyone would be constantly shifting things

Reason that no one uses compuserve any more is partly due to the prat who ended up running the ukforums and annoyed just about every regular, and the fact that they wanted to charge loadsamoney for things you could do for free. I took the maddogs forum which used to post up to 1000 posts a day to a new free site, and is still going strong with most of the regulars still there

There were many forums which were very well run, and had very loyal regular posters, and didn't get the deckmaster type comments because all the posts ended up where they belonged.

Different world though, and wouldn't work here

Flippin eck TCM, yer a wizard with the Search function! Or do you memorise every thread (jeeeze!) /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Anyway, put skills to good use and find the toilet post

i remebered the post, but needed the correct contributor! Anyway, if i had just given the answer, yerd have claimed the rights.

Lats night i watched another ef boring dive program where they nearly find sunken gold, but don't. AND tho they had v intresting whirring seaddo type things, but monster size for fat gits! So, have found floating icebergs (good fun for a look but $4000) i am now orf to hunt for that.

Re: seadoo whizzers

Dont follow.... you mean inflatable icebergs or something?

Re the Seadoo whizzers there must be an industrial grade available somewhere, 7 knots or something? Anyone know? Here's what we're talking about, but this is non-indutrial spec, 3 knots.

Military suppliers needed?. There must be a point at which the props stays still and the rider spins round - get kids to test first. Also dorsal fin needed....

Re: seadoo whizzers

Or they do them here also mail order but with a bigger battery giving an extra 40 mins play time, they also have a nice little movie of other lazy gits using them.
